Terms of service.

The plain version: you get a page, a mailbox and your name. Here's what we both agree to. No fine print designed to trip you up — just the rules that keep the lights on.

These terms are an agreement between you and Superstar.DJ Ltd. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. If you don't, don't use the service. Where we say "we", "us" or "Superstar.DJ", we mean the company below. Where we say "you", we mean the person or business holding the account.

1. Who we are

The service is run by Superstar.DJ Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales under company number 13892017, based in Bristol, United Kingdom. We're a small team building this out of a basement in Bristol. If you need to reach us about these terms, write to support@superstar.dj.

2. The service

Superstar.DJ gives a working DJ four things:

That's the whole product. No follower counts, no engagement loops, no algorithm. We may add or refine features over time (see section 8), but the core stays the same: a page, a mailbox and your name.

3. Accounts & eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account. You agree to give us accurate details when you sign up and to keep them current — we use them to bill you and to send you enquiries.

You are responsible for your login. Keep your password to yourself, use a strong one, and tell us promptly at support@superstar.dj if you think someone else has got into your account. Anything done under your login is treated as done by you.

4. Plans, trials & billing

We offer three monthly plans:

Every new account starts with a 14-day free trial. No card is needed to begin the trial. If you don't add a payment method by the end of it, the account simply pauses — we don't charge you by surprise.

Once you're paying, plans are billed monthly in advance. You can change plan or cancel anytime from the Booth; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month, and we don't pro-rate part-months. Prices are shown in pounds sterling and, where VAT applies, it is added at the prevailing rate. If we change our prices we'll give you reasonable notice before your next renewal, and you're free to cancel rather than accept the change.

5. Your name

Your alias is the subdomain and mailbox name you claim — {alias}.superstar.dj and {alias}@superstar.dj. Names are first come, first served, and you only get to keep one while your account is active.

Some names are reserved — things like admin, support, www and our own brand terms — and can't be claimed. Don't pick a name designed to impersonate another person, act or business, or one that infringes someone else's trade mark or rights. We can reclaim or reassign any alias that is reserved, that impersonates someone, or that is being used for infringing or abusive purposes. Where it's fair to, we'll give you notice first.

6. Your content

The words, photos, mixes, logos and other material you put on your page or send through your mailbox are yours. We don't claim ownership of them.

To run the service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy and serve your content — but only as far as we need to in order to display your page and deliver your email. That licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, subject to the retention window in section 9 and any backups that age out on their own.

You promise the content is yours to use, and that it doesn't break the law or anyone's rights. Don't host or send material that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, sexually exploitative, malware, or that infringes copyright or trade marks. We can remove content that breaches this.

7. Acceptable use & email

Use the service for promoting your own DJ work and taking genuine bookings. Don't use it to send spam, bulk unsolicited mail, phishing or anything unlawful, and don't try to break, overload or probe the service or get into accounts that aren't yours.

The mailbox is for real correspondence with people who contact you, not for mass marketing. Our full rules on email are set out in our anti-spam policy, which forms part of these terms. Break them and we may suspend sending or your account.

8. Availability & changes

We aim to keep the service up and your page online around the clock, but we provide it on a best-effort basis and don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. From time to time we'll take it down for planned maintenance; where we can, we'll do that quietly and at sensible hours. You can check current state on our status page.

We may add, change or remove features as the product develops. If we make a change that materially reduces what your plan does, we'll let you know, and you can cancel if it doesn't work for you.

9. Cancellation, suspension & data

You can cancel whenever you like from the Booth. When an account is cancelled or lapses, your page is archived — taken offline but kept — and your mailbox switches to read-only for 90 days, so you can still log in and export what you need. After 90 days, the page and mailbox are permanently deleted and can't be recovered, so export anything you want to keep within that window.

We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms, that hasn't paid, or that puts the service or other users at risk. Where the breach is serious — fraud, abuse, unlawful content — suspension may be immediate. Otherwise we'll usually warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.

10. Liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all implied warranties and conditions.

We are not liable for lost bookings, lost income, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service — for example if your page or mailbox is unavailable, or an enquiry doesn't reach you. Subject to the next paragraph, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is capped at the total fees you paid us for the service in that period.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that can't be limited or excluded by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

11. Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or the service, are governed by the laws of England & Wales. The courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you're a consumer you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK where you live.

12. Contact
